My Approach

As a counsellor, I help you to navigate life’s challenges to improve your overall well-being by holding a safe and secure space for your healing through collaboration, kindness, and authenticity. I aim to empower you to clarify issues, explore possible solutions, develop coping strategies and increase self-awareness. My approach to therapy is a person-centred approach, where the client is the expert in their own journey. Counselling is an intervention in a client's life to discover possibilities of self-improvement and inspire and improve their circumstances.

In therapy, we do not 'fix' you. You are not broken - just human. I will help guide and support you in your journey to resolve issues, overcome personal obstacles, confidence building, so that you can heal and have a life-long toolkit to use without a counsellor present. Self-knowledge is the key to personal freedom, and to gain self-knowledge we must spend quality time building a meaningful relationship with ourselves.

Modalities

I utilise a range of evidence-based modalities of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Person Centred Therapy (PCT).
